PROPer [PROH pur] Associates is a different kind of consultancy; a culturally conscious firm that passionately advocates for access and diversity in all sectors of real estate. Access to real estate, particularly for living, is an essential component to life and does best when the use and access is equitable and uplifting. The real estate industry in the United States has, historically, not been open to all persons and has an ugly history of formal and cultural exclusion, contributing to many of today's societal ills. Therefore, real estate has a heavier burden to erase than other sectors.
Our philosophy is multi-faceted, with an emphasis on the elevation of commercial property management and the people who deliver welcoming, equitable, sustainable, productive, and enriching spaces. One of our founding tenets is boosting the profile, mindset, spirit, and emotional resilience of the whole property management team. PROPer's position and attitude towards expanding access to commercial real estate for historically marginalized groups includes those who provide service to properties. We are committed to expanding opportunities by assisting property managers in expanding their minds, concepts of what is corporate and forfeiting their souls for the work that is place making.
